Cilantro-Mint Chutney

Sunday, December 17, 2006

This is a fabulous little recipe that Meredith gave me when I was asking for a good cilantro recipe. I can't say that there's a recipe per se to this, as this is something that really goes by taste. We used it over some leftover tri-tip we had in the fridge. Fantastic.

Cilantro-Mint Chutney
Take cilantro, mint, a clove of garlic, a seeded chili pepper, knob of ginger, coconut milk, and a dash of salt and chuck it into the food processor. Keep tasting to make sure you get it how you like it.

  2. you can also make a chutney using lime juice. My mother makes chutney with cilantro, lime juice, garlic, salt, and peppers.

  3. I love this chutney, and often add lime juice and green peppers and garlic (sometimes). Goes really well with snacks or as a spread. You have a beautiful blog!
