The eat beast has a weakness! He dominated lemons, devoured hot peppers, stole bacon, purloined bagels, and stickypawed more than a few chips and crackers. He even threw his face into a bowl of cereal while I was still eating it and looking the other way.
Yes, he won't eat limes. Detests them. I can put a slice of lime in a bowl of food and he won't go near it. He'll pace around and inspect it for hours. HOURS. He'll attempt to swat at it in hopes it might run off, but to no avail. It's crazy. And by crazy I mean tormenting him this way if non-stop fun.Finally, now if I can just figure out a way to utilize this weakness. For something aside from my own twisted entertainment I mean. (I feel like Lex Luthor, only Superman is a fatty fat fat McBlobicus covered in black hair and obsessed with licking his groin and eating.)

Have you tried giving him other citrus fruit? Or lime leaves?

Isn't it fun figuring out what your furry friends' secret weaknesses are? Oreo is a super curious dog but when she sees a beetle she makes this "Yuck!" face and jumps about ten feet back. It's the funniest thing ever. I think you could get a fair amount of entertainment out of this lime aversion.

I think, though, that I'm more shocked that he likes lemons! Mine won't get near anything other than tiny flakes of fish or chicken.. other than that she's not a big "people food" fan.

All my cats have hated any citrus fruits. I think the oil hurts their eyes. But if your beast tolerates lemons, this is most strange!
